Join Uncle Tom Cobley and all for a fun day out at Widecombe Fair
Widecombe Fair is an annual event in the picturesque Dartmoor village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor. Whilst celebrating traditional rural life and providing a wonderful day out for young and old alike, it also raises money for good causes. There is much to see and do, and the Fair is open from 9.00am until late in order to squeeze in all the action. There are some well turned out horses and ponies to admire, local handicrafts to browse, a drink or two to enjoy in the beer tent, rosettes to win, the infamous Uncle Tom Cobley Novelty Race, delicious food to eat and much, much more to enjoy.

Cashless payments are being increasingly encouraged at the fair as we introduce more modernisation to Widecombe. By all means bring cash but if you’re able please also bring your preferred method of cashless payment, as some of our stalls may not be accepting cash on the day. Thank you.
Advance tickets for the 2026 fair are now closed, but don’t worry if you missed out as you will still be able to pay for entry upon arrival.

Don’t miss out when you get to the Fair - treat yourself to a copy of our 60 page souvenir programme for only £4.00. Available from our friendly sellers around the village and on the Fair Field all day.
You can even buy them in advance this year from the Old Inn and Café on the Green.
